Riders must be 8 years or older unless given special permission by Stable Manager. All riders under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present. Waivers must be completed at the start of the ride.

Trail Ride Requirements:

• No experience is necessary to enjoy this guided trail ride
• Riders must be at least 8 years or older
• Riders must weigh less than 250 lbs
• Long pants are strongly recommended
• Closed-toe sneaker or light hiking shoe
• Helmets are required and provided
• All Riders must sign a waiver prior to ride minors must have a parent or guardian

 

Cancellation Policy: All orders are charged in full at the time of the reservation. Changes or cancellations made 48 hours prior to arrival date are fully refundable. Changes or cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to arrival date are non-refundable and non-changeable. Please pay careful attention to local weather forecasts for any outdoor activities if you feel that you do not want to participate in certain weather conditions. You will not be given a refund or a gift certificate if you are late or do not show up for your activity. If your activity is cancelled by Bretton Woods due to weather or other unforeseeable conditions, you will receive a full refund or have the opportunity to reschedule. We will make every attempt to contact you at least 48 hours ahead of time; however, this 48-hour notice may not always be possible due to the unpredictable nature of the weather in New Hampshire.

 

Carriage & Sleigh Rides

Sit back and relax as our professional guide brings you through the picturesque resort grounds as you experience a different kind of horsepower. Reservations are required. Please contact The Stable at 603-278-3388 for more information. Carriage rides leave from the side door on the ground level of the Omni Mount Washington Hotel.

Barn Buddies

The kids (and Mom and Dad!) will talk about their special morning at The Equestrian Center for years to come after a hands-on visit to the stables to assist the kind staff with horse care and maintenance. An introduction to equestrian skills will prepare them for a ride on their own, and the program concludes with a short, controlled pony ride around the corral.

• Thursdays through Sundays, Noon – 1:00 p.m.

Sleigh Rides

As the snow starts to fall, it's time to explore our trails in the comfort of one of our horse-drawn sleighs. Sit back and relax as we tour you around the Resort the way guests have for centuries. Experience a different sort of horsepower, as the sled runners glide across the snow and the sleigh bells jingle on. Sleigh rides are typically available mid-December through mid-April as conditions permit. During warmer seasons, carriage rides are available.

Two-Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, Noon–2:30 p.m.
• Saturdays, Holidays and Vacation Periods, Noon–2:30 p.m. and 5:00–7:30 p.m.

One-Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride Schedule:

• Monday–Saturday, Noon–2:30 p.m. and 4:30–7:30 p.m.
• Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 5:00–7:30 p.m.

Guests 4 years and younger are complimentary if they ride on lap of paying adult. Only one child per paying adult (additional children under 4 will be charged the child rate above).
