Trail & Pony Rides at Bretton Woods
Take the reins and go for a fairytale ride through the resort grounds. Enjoy the breathtaking views as you experience the surroundings of the White Mountains and the Presidential Mountain Range on one of our beautiful (or handsome) trail horses. *Riders must be 8 years or older unless given special permission by stables manager. All riders under the age of 18 years-old must have a parent or guardian present. Waivers must be completed at the start of the ride.

Trail Ride Requirements:
- No experience is necessary to enjoy this guided trail ride
- Riders must be at least 8 years or older
- Riders must weigh less than 250 lbs
- Long pants are strongly recommended
- Closed-toe sneaker or light hiking shoe
- Helmets are required and provided
- All Riders must sign a waiver prior to ride minors must have a parent or guardian

All orders are charged in full at the time of the reservation. Changes or cancellations made 48 hours prior to arrival date are fully refundable. Changes or cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to arrival date are non-refundable and non-changeable. Please pay careful attention to local weather forecasts for any outdoor activities if you feel that you do not want to participate in certain weather conditions. You will not be given a refund or a gift certificate if you are late or do not show up for your activity. If your activity is cancelled by Bretton Woods due to weather or other unforeseeable conditions, you will receive a full refund or have the opportunity to reschedule. We will make every attempt to contact you at least 48 hours ahead of time; however, this 48-hour notice may not always be possible due to the unpredictable nature of the weather in New Hampshire

Sit back and relax as our professional guide brings you through the picturesque resort grounds as you experience a different kind of horsepower. Reservations are required. The kids (and Mom and Dad!) will talk about this special morning at The Stables at the Omni Mount Washington Resort for years to come! Visit to interact with our Stable-Master, Luke Thorne and all of his great staff as they show you the ins and outs of daily operation at the Stables. After a quick introduction, get ready to get your hands dirty while you assist the kind staff with horse care and maintenance, all while building up your confidence to "saddle-up" and take a ride of your own.
This experience begins with a hands-on course in Barn etiquette from how the horses are fed and cared for, to how they are saddled and shod. It concludes with a short, controlled Pony ride around the Stables Corral. For more information please call 603-278-3388.

Sleigh Rides
As the snow starts to fall, it's time to explore our trails in the comfort of one of our horse-drawn sleighs. Sit back and relax as we tour you around the Resort the way guests have for centuries. Experience a different sort of horsepower, as the sled runners glide across the snow and the sleigh bells jingle on. Reservations are required; please contact the Activities Concierge Desk at (603) 278-8989 to book your experience.
