PRIVATE TENNIS LESSONS
Take a private lesson with our USPTA Certified Tennis Pro, Tom Over. He began teaching tennis in 1973 and became a member of the USPTA in 1975. Tom's professional rating is PRO 1. He has taught tennis at the New Hampshire Hills Racquet Club, Sudden Pitch Racquet Club and has worked for Laver / Emerson Tennis Holidays. Tom has been with the Omni Mount Washington Resort for more than 20 years and throughout the summer, you can find Tom on any one of the resort's red-clay tennis courts. During the winter, Tom follows the snow birds south to the greater Palm Beach area of Florida, where he currently teaches at Loblolly Pines. Tom's easy-going nature and knowledge of the game makes him an ideal instructor for both the beginner and the advanced player working to elevate their game.

2021 Lesson Rates*
- Ages 13 & Over
- Adult one-hour private: $89
- Group or family one-hour lesson: $62 per person
- Adult half-hour private lesson: $50

- Ages 12 & under
- Junior one-hour private lesson: $50
- Junior one-hour semi-private lesson: $40 per person
- Junior half-hour private lesson: $30 per person

- Lessons are available by the hour; advance reservations are required.
- Check-in at the Golf Clubhouse at least 20 minutes prior to start time of your scheduled lesson.

Covid19 Precautions
- Due to our continued concern regarding COVID-19, activities will be conducted with members of your own party only. You will not be grouped with participants you do not know. Masks are required and your instructor will let you know when they can be removed.
- The Omni Mount Washington Resort will be adhering to the Universal Guidelines for outdoor activities as mandated by the Governor of the state of New Hampshire. For more information, follow this link.
Cancellation Policy
- All reservations are charged in full at the time of booking. Please pay careful attention to local weather forecasts if you feel that you do not want to participate in the rain. If you choose to cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled start time due to the weather, you will be charged the full amount.
- If your activity is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseeable conditions, you will receive a full refund or have the opportunity to reschedule. We will make every attempt to contact you at least 24 hours ahead of time however; this 24-hour notice may not always be possible due to the unpredictable nature of the weather in New Hampshire.
- You are required to arrive promptly at your scheduled start time. You will not be given a refund or a gift certificate if you are late for your activity.
- We understand that COVID-19 creates uncertainty with travel plans. Please call us to discuss your options should you need to cancel due to situations resulting from the pandemic.
Beginner Tennis Clinics
Enjoy a great heart-healthy activity and join us for complimentary beginner tennis clinics this summer. The clinic is designed to cover the basic rules of tennis, from holding a racquet to the basic skills and game play. Join our Resort Tennis Pro, Tom Over, as he lays the foundation for lifelong enjoyment. This clinic is recommended for ages 13 and over.

- Programs runs from May 31 – September 3, 2016, as conditions permit
- Wednesdays & Saturdays, 3:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Early Bird Tennis Workout
Loosen up and launch your day with a coaching session and workout on our famous red-clay courts. This program is appropriate for ages 13 and older.
PLEASE NOTE: All Tennis lessons, clinics and equipment rentals are currently unavailable at this time.

- Programs run from Tuesday, May 28th – Saturday,August 31st
- Tuesdays - Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Junior Tennis Clinics
Help your child develop good physical activity habits at an early age by giving them the opportunity to try out different forms of exercise. Tennis is a great, heart-healthy, activity that teaches life lessons and can be played and enjoyed at any age. Join our Resort Tennis Pro, Tom Over, as he lays the foundation for lifelong enjoyment.
PLEASE NOTE: All Tennis programs, including courts, lessons, clinics and equipment rentals, are closed for the 2019 Season.

Weekly Tennis Mixer
Join Tennis Professional Tom Over for our fun and engaging tennis mixer, right here on our red-clay courts. This social event is open to players level 3 and up and will start at 3:00 p.m. and last about two hours. You do not need a partner to participate. We recommend a private lesson for beginners or anyone unsure of their skill level.
You will check in at the activities concierge desk, located in the Great Hall of Omni Mount Washington Resort, 20 minutes prior to your scheduled clinic.
Schedule and Pricing:
- $10 per person
- Saturdays at 3:00 p.m
- Programs runs from June 14 – September 6, 2014, as conditions permit.
