Mt. Washington Winter Ascent
Join us for one of the most exciting adventures in the northeast. Climbing Mount Washington in the winter will test you physically and mentally and is likely to be an experience you'll remember for the rest of your life. The ascent averages around 5 hours, covering 4 miles and 4258' of elevation. The descent averages around 3 hours. En route you will likely encounter ice, snow, rocks, winds, cold temps, and possibly freezing fog and snow. Climbers should be in very good physical condition and must be properly equipped. Routes can be planned depending on snow conditions and guests' experience and ability. Mountaineering boots, crampons and ice axe are required but are available for rent from a local outfitter. Guests are required to provide their own clothing and backpack. We can also plan a climb of one of our other high peaks, including Mt. Lafayette or Mt. Adams.
