What better way to spend your vacation at Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade than to visit the Institute of Texan Culture, located right in the heart of downtown? Experience the Institute of Texan Culture, which shares and interprets the culture tapestry that makes the state what it is today. There are rotating exhibits that represent stories of Texans past and present with emphasis on the heritage of the many different people who chose to make this their home. The exhibits also include artifacts that provide links to the stories and allow you to understand the experiences of the time period.   

Things to Know Before You Go

• The Institute of Texan Culture is located at 801 E. Ceasar Chavez Blvd. San Antonio, Texas 78205, 11 miles from the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade.
• Operating hours are Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
• General admission for adults is $10.00, Seniors, children 6-17 years of age or military personnel are $8.00. 
• If you are member of the institute, your admission is free of charge. 
• One great thing about the institute is the group prices. Bring your extended family, or go on a field trip with your coworkers after work, and only pay $4.00 a person!
